Kivelä Rinne is a product design studio in Lahti, Finland. We design lamps and furniture for Finnish manufacturers and build the prototypes in our own workshop.
The studio was founded in 2018 by designers Noora Kivelä and Tuomas Rinne. Carpenter Eero Laine works in our 120 m² workshop two days a week. We make 5 to 12 prototypes of every product, and the last one is used in someone's home for at least two months before the drawings go to the factory.
We work on royalty, usually 3 to 5 percent of the manufacturer's wholesale price. Most of our clients are factories within a day's drive of Lahti, and our working language is Finnish. Product pages, terms and news are in Finnish only.
