ConceptArkkitehtitoimisto Haljala is a fictional company. I built the site to show what a small architecture firm’s website can do.

Starting point
Arkkitehtitoimisto Haljala is a five-person firm in Tampere. It designs houses, villas and saunas for private clients and restores old log houses, mostly in Pirkanmaa. It takes on 4–6 new jobs a year.
The client is a family building a house or saving an old one. They want to know what design costs, when work can start and what kind of plans the firm draws. The best sites in the field show beautiful photos, but these questions often stay open.

Solution
The front page says in one sentence what the firm does and for whom, and shows a finished villa in its landscape straight away. Project pages move from the site’s conditions to the solution, a fact box and the drawings. Prices with VAT, free start dates for 2027, projects in progress and everyone’s direct number are visible. Typography is Source Serif 4 and Public Sans on a warm paper colour, and the footer is the colour of tar.

What the site does
- The caller already knows the pricePrices and free start dates for 2027 are visible, so enquiries come from people whose schedule and budget fit.
- Projects answer the family’s questionsPlot, solution, floor area and drawings show what kind of houses the firm designs.
- A small firm looks busyThe in-progress list with dates shows that work is happening right now.
Build
- Name, wordmark, colours and typography
- Fact box, captions and drawings on project pages
- Services and prices page with VAT
- In-progress list and free start dates on the front page
On a phone the villa on the front page is cropped to portrait, the drawings stay readable and the menu opens as a full-screen list.

The buildings in the photos have no connection to the company. Photos are under the Unsplash licence, and the photographers are credited on the site. The drawings were made for the site. The site itself is in Finnish.
