ConceptLindqvist Ekroos Arkkitehdit is a fictional company. I built the site to show what a website can do for a firm that designs public buildings.

Starting point
Lindqvist Ekroos Arkkitehdit is a twelve-person firm in Helsinki. It designs schools, day-care centres and wooden apartment buildings, and most of its work comes from public procurement and architecture competitions.
The reader is usually a municipal project specialist or a member of a competition jury. They want to see quickly what the firm has built, who leads the project and on what terms the firm works.

Solution
The front page has one sentence about the firm, the most recently completed day-care centre and the whole archive of 25 projects with numbers, places and status. Every project page has a fact box from procurement method to team, the firm’s own site plans and sections, and the photographers’ names. The commissions page sets out contract terms, hourly rates and the project phases with durations. The identity is calm: one typeface, concrete grey and the warmth of wood in the photos.

What the site does
- What a tender needs is readyReferences with procurement methods, the team and contract terms are on the site when the municipality asks for a tender.
- The archive proves experience25 projects with numbers, status and years show the jury what the firm has built.
- The lead is visible on every projectEach project page names the principal designer, so the client knows who would lead the project.
Build
- Name, LE logo, colours and typography
- Archive of 25 projects with filters on the front page
- Procurement details and drawings on project pages
- Commissions page with contract terms and hourly rates
On a phone the archive condenses into a two-line list where number, name, year and status show without horizontal scrolling.

The buildings in the photos have no connection to the company. Photos are under the Unsplash licence, and the photographers are credited on the site. The drawings were made for the site. The site itself is in Finnish.
